*~FallenAngel~* Member	posted 10-10-2005 06:35 PM for my family and those of the other 4 victims.... no alchy nor drugs involved... hey all, im not one to ask for much, but im sitting here, unable to get to sleep after being out the emergency room I had just layed in my bed, pulled the covers over me it was 1130 and there was a knock at my door, i said uh oh then they banged a bit harder and i knew by the bang that something was wrong.....i was getting news that there had been an accident and i needed to get to the hospital, that my 17 yr old nephew had been in a real bad car accident,his car over turned and he and his friends were really bad...well needless to say i scurry around to find clothes so i can rush to the hospital to be by my sisters side so i just get ready to leave and i get a call saying to meet them where the accident happened that we would all drive up together(i have a big family 7 of us) so i hafta park a bit away ...get outta the car and start running up to the scene because it was all blocked off...so i talked to the police officers that let me thru as they know my family and knew why i was there.....well im running down the road, and look over where the car is ...big mistake...there was his car an older blue mustang thru the guard rail and in a ditch, all mangled, i started puking after seeing how twisted this car is in and know that if anyone survies this its gonna be one hell of a miricle....we go to the hospital, where 3 were taken and the other 2 were taken to another...ones vertabrae(sp) was broken, his hip was shattered and had a gash..the other has a broken neck....the two at the other hospital, one was bleeding internally and didnt remember anything at all...and the girl tara had a broken arm, shoulder,collapsed lung broken leg, and they saw a spot on her brain they arent too sure if its a bruise or a blood clot...my nephew was rushed into the OR they had to cut him outta the car, his lungs were collapsed, he was bleeding internally, they removed his splean, and one of his kidneys was put on a ventilator and is in a comma they still havent gotten him stableized enough to stop the internal bleeding and his plateletts keep needing replacing....his mother(my sister) had to be admitted to the ER from the anxiety of hearing this news of her son and loosing it.....they say hes in grave condition at st marys hosp...i was in the chapel on and off thru the night, but pleasemy family and the other familes of the other children need all the prayers we can get..especially Mickey's family (the one who passed) please keep us in your prayers, im gonna shower, grab something to eat and head back out there....heres a link.....youll see what i mean by seeing what his car looked like.... may you rest in peace Mickey.. so young.. all of em.......the angels are watching over you... and were praying for the rest of you.. *~FallenAngel~* Member	posted 10-10-2005 06:37 PM update.... my nephews brain started to swell from the truma he sustained in the wreck.. they had to rush him back into surgery to try to relieve some of the swelling with a shunt, well when they tried to drill the hole in his brain to put this in they saw that the brain wasnt going to allow this to be inserted because of the swelling, so they had to cut a hudge chunk of the left side of his brain off to aleaviate the swelling and flap the skin over the brain, the swelling hasnt gone down and is still swelling, my nephew has gone so long without oxygen the he from the beginning had a chance of brain damage, but now after it being almost 24 hours and no change...they are doing motor tests to declare him brain dead... they've informed my sister and her husband that if by some chance he makes it thru the night that in the morning they will redo the motor test and if there still isnt any moventment then he is legally brain dead that they would hafta make the choice to take him off the ventalator and leave him rest in peace.... my 17 yo nephew isnt going to pull out of this.... he just ordered his class ring.... the high school prom is this year.... his 18th birthday is Nov 8th so instead of a bday party....we will be having his funeral...this is just so shocking....i as a mother cannot fathom what my sister is going thru....i just cant... thank you all for your prayers means alot to us...ive been up for over 48 hours.....no sleep at all....im going to crash and if i hear anything else i will post what is happening in the morning....... thanks again all.... only good thing is that my nephew will have my mother taken care of him up there...

*~FallenAngel~* Member	posted 10-11-2005 07:36 PM THANKS all for your support......it means so much... my sister and her husband were left with the most horrific decision anyone would ever hafta make.... they had to take thier son off life support... my nephew passed away at 730 pm tonight.... may you rest in peace Johnny.....your in a much better place bud.... you have many people waiting for ya up there to take care of you..... mom-mom peg is just waiting on ya... im so sorry this had to happen to you....life just isnt fair your memory will live on... rest in peace Johnny... i love you buddy.....

lexiesmom Member	posted 10-12-2005 09:37 PM One of my favorite little antidotes my friends gave me when my fiance passed away, was the pennies from heaven stories. It is a little saying that you lay the loved one to rest with three pennies in thier pocket so they have money to pay the tolls at the three bridges into heaven ( not sure I ever heard about three bridges, but it is meaningful to the story) Then later on when you are at a "fork in the road" or needing a reminder that someone is there looking down on you, they will send you a penny from heavan. I am always finding them in odd places especially when I need a reminder that I am loved and that in times things will work out. Last week I had cleaned the house spotless, changed sheets, put all the clothes away, dusted vacuumed everything even scrubbed the little marks off the walls. I live in new apt so things are pretty clean anyways. But, I always put my chnage in a jar in the kitchen when I walk through the door and lex wasn't home, I went to crawl into bed pulled my freshly placed sheets down and found a penny in the center of the bed, under the blankets but on top of the bottom sheet. it was a reminder that whether it is god watching over me and reminding me that he is there or Kirk sending me a little memory and little hug from the other side. just remember it is hard for us, but he is in a better place, he is where we should all want to go. He is home, he can't be hurt again, he is never alone and he feels more love now than we could ever offer him here on earth. look out for him, he is watching over you. And next time you find a penny it might just be from heaven. Take care sweetie we will keep you in our prayers.

*~FallenAngel~* Member	posted 10-13-2005 06:41 PM a special thanks to Jay Jay for the private email you sent to me...its giving me strength, thank you so much for taking the time to keep up the emails to me..your a wonderful woman...(((( hugs&kisses))) thank you all for the wonderful support you all have given to me..means the world to know that even tho ive not meant any of you that you all mean just as much... im ok...still is shock of course but ill make it...attended the other kids funeral today, stood outside in the pouring rain with no umbrella for 40 mins before we got in there hahaha, so much for good hair huh lmao.... even tho we are planning my nephews funeral instead of his 18th bday bash, ive still been keeping in touch with the other three families.... they are now all in stable condition and will make a full recovery thank god...tara has started on her therepy today and tony and cris are both remembering what happened and are talking and pissed off that they werent able to attend Mickeys funeral today or my nephews on saturday but atleast they are out of cricle and are stable and recovering... thank you all again..... you all are great people and glad you all are my friends...

*~FallenAngel~* Member	posted 10-17-2005 04:58 PM hiya all... im not feeling too bad, feeling a bit laggy, or shall i say like im dragging from all the running around between the hospitals and funerals this past week, but i went back to work today, and had my normal routine i hafta say it was nice to be doing my everyday thing instead of being at a hospital all day and night, that place just drains you being inside of it... im glad its all over with, its just the beginning for my sister and i cant even try to begin to understand... thank you all so much for your kind words and your thoughts and prayers.. especially jay jay and LJ for sending your own little side notes to check on me so lets get to chatting again

I was looking at yours... and was just thinking how we can never know how our lives can change in an instant. I'm sure your sister's grief has just begun. *~FallenAngel~* Member	posted 10-27-2005 07:53 AM thanks Blue and LJ many of us take things like life for granted,life is really too short, one minute your here laughing and eating at taco bell and the next your driving down the street swirving thinking ya dont wanna hit a box in the street, and never have ANY idea that those few words will be the last thoughts youll ever have...its really scary, and i cant imagine how my sister must be feeling, and yet i feel so helpless because i know no matter what i say or how much i hold her and let her cry its still not going to ease her pain.. i wanna help her so much more, and i cant i did love him, he was such a good kid, i mean i know everyone says that, but i mean really, this kid was into football ,wrestling,working out to maintain his strength for his sports,never did drugs, he got his high from laughter he and his friends shared, and he was really just starting life, his 18th bday is nov 8 ..death is sad when its anyone, but even sader when its someone that really hasnt lived yet..he turned out to be a wonderful respectable young man....tomorrow night at the homecoming game, they are gonna honor him by allowing my cousin wear his football jersey during the game in honor of him, dedicating the game to him and presenting my sister and her husband with the jersey after the game with a plaque, they were also talking about getting some sort of monument for him to put up in the sports trophy case in memory of him, so no doubt tomorrow will be very emotional...but ill be there to hold her and cry with her, its all i can do but i wanna thank you all here for being here to listen to me and thanks for your prayers that you sent my way, you all truely are wonderful here, and im glad i stumbled upon you all here if you dont mind, id like to stay thanks again Jamie
