lexiesmom Member	posted 09-22-2005 06:02 PM          I am asking for some support, Monday evening my daughters football coach died, they believe a heart attack. His wife woke up in the middle of the night and he was gone. He was a huge part of the deaf community here and the the deaf culture is a far more tight knit group than hearing world ( as a member of both I feel comfortable saying that), they really look out for each other and take care of one another. He attended the school as a child and after college returned to teach the kids. He has been there for 20 years and is dearly loved by all. HE was the football coach and helped on her track team as well. The memorial was today at school so all the kids could attend. She seems ok, but I am afraid she might not be this weekend when she gets home she had a friend pass away less than a month ago. I hope every one can say a prayer for the family and the kids at her school since it is such a small school they all know everyone. Thanks everyone.

lexiesmom Member	posted 09-26-2005 02:41 PM          Well, the kids handled the service pretty well. Lexie has really been on me all weekend about moving somewhere where she can live at home all week and still go to the school for the deaf. And it has been on my mind since KAtrina happened, she is two hours away all week and we live close to San Francisco, so if there is an earthquake I can't get to her and that scares me to death. I am hoping and praying to get accepted next spring into a university where she can be at home. I think the school has been amazing and helped her so much, but I really feel i missing out on so much of her life. Well here's to getting in to University of Arizona next year.
