Hi Everyone, I am so torn up inside regarding the willful starvation of Terry Schiavo. The mere thought of her possibly having any knowlege, pain or feelings in her silence while being slowly starved to death is unthinkable to me not to mention the feelings of helplessness her family must be going through. I am at a loss for words but praying a lot! Many Blessings...Marilyn |

Hi Marilyn, I heard on the news that she can't feel or comprehend the starving that she's enduring. I only hope that that is true. I know personally I would rather be dead than to live that way. I think I would happily starve to death after years of living in a hospital bed with no voice.

I have to have faith and believe that if God had intended for her to sruvive this he would have allowed her to wake up years ago. It's time after fifteen years for her to go home. I saw the brain scans and read the reports from nuero. and I trust that she is in no pain, My prayers are with her family, I can't understand how unbearable thier pain must be but I pray God is watching after them and helping them through thier pain and welcoming Terri home.

I, too, hope she doesn't suffer. I hope God takes her quickly and painlessly if it's His will.I'm having trouble understanding all of this. It against the law to starve a dog. |

It is going to be a LONG time before these issues and laws get worked out because they are so complicated |

I just pray we never have to face a situation like this with any of our children. It must be hard to let go and hard to hold on as well. |

I can't understand how food and water are extroidenary measures for anyone. If she were on a ventilator or something that kept her heart pumping artificially, I would argree with her psuedo hubby. But seeing as how he went to court and won $700000 for her care and now he claims she wanted to die. That's crap. If I decided to starve myself, the state would put me in a mental institution and give me therapy. Furthermore, there is debate on what she wanted and I think the judge is wrong to dismiss the testimony of others and only go off what her hubby, his brother and sister and law said she want. This case has made me cry so hard. Then, he wants her body creamated immediatly after she kicks the dust. Heavan forbid what the family want. I just think he's being very selfish here. He wants to invoke the loving hubby role, but he's been living with a woman for 10 years with out divorcing Terri. Talk about a conflict of interest.Grrr. |
