Check your county for assistance..sometimes called neighborhood service centers..There are also "block grants" that are funded with a type of FEMA funds..usually ST. Vincent De Paul Society, Salvation Army organizations like that give out the funds for help with rent/ utilities and such..also look under homeless assistance...there are funds to prevent a person from becoming homeless..again they help with rent and utilities..Please let me know if that helps if I knew what state you were in I could probably tell you exactly where to go..but I'll be prayin for you.

Call your areas united ways first call for help and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

You need to do a housing search and apply for subsidized houseing. The process is very involved and it would be better if you have a housing advocate to help you along.

When I did mine, I had just left a major city with big resources and a housing advocate from there helped me along. If I had been living where I am now, a housing advocate wouldnt have been available.

You are looking at a lot of work.

Good luck with the search, sending prayers to you.

All times are CT
