My ex-husband and I bought a timeshare a few years back when we were married, primarily so we could visit his parents with the kids, etc. I later discovered that he was USING up the timeshare to cheat on me. Needless to say, the divorce settlement was very fair to me, but in a sense it was TOO fair because guess who got ownership of the timeshare? I certainly don't need to be spending the money on his old lovenest and don't plan to visit HIS parents anytime in the near future, as you can understand.

My first question is, is this legal? Can something like a timeshare just be handed over like that without any regard to fees, etc (the cost of the timeshare monthly)? Second question is, how can I sell it? My husband had a lot of connections in real estate, etc, that he was planning on exploiting to get rid of the timeshare at a profit; now, of course, he is not so willing to use those connections and would probably rather see me flounder financially.
