This is good news. I think I am going to get a second job. My advisor/professor that just met me and doesnt even know me has it seems adopted me, bless her heart. She is also the principal of an elementary school. She had set me up with a teacher to watch her work and learn from her. The district got money to hire aides for the kindergarten and first grade. She told me to go apply and then she told me that I should be getting a phone call for an interview. It would be half days monday through friday. It would be perfect, drop the kids off and go work and be back in time for them to get home. It wont pay much but it will help and I will get valuable experience in the classroom. Its nice to have good news.

My dad is going to help me with school clothes for the kids and shoes.

If I could just do my schoolwork I will be all set.

Ahhh...I'd love to be teaching half days when I go back. Part-time work is so great when you have kids.

AWESOME! Dont' forget to take some time for yourself. I have so much respect for teachers. Just my kids' friends sometimes amaze me with their lack of acceptable social skills and respect. I cant' imagine a classroom full! I'd go crazy!

How exciting, Lee Ann! Congratulations!

Bonkers,

Teaching is such an awesome responsibility. And, manners are just the tip of the iceberg-- if those children aren't being taught basic social skills and respect, imagine how challenging it is for a teacher to educate them when there's no support from the parents.
