Jus thought i,d share a giggle with afew of you, my man abandoned me + 2 kids at christmas saying its just not what he wants anymore... Been on that rollercoast through love , hate anger, being there for my kids...still on itAnyhow my best friend came back from holidays and was great, managed to cry into lots of cups of tea at her house. I have found she has been a terrific support the only person right now that i feel is being kind. My ex is on a hate me mission, i,m not sure i knew this person that is father to my kids and realising that i am better off without him!!!!if i say it enough times then i should really start to believe it. So my best friend who is a real girly, with makeovers nad clothes etc decided that i should get a haircut to make me feel better and as i have a job interview next week. We live in France so the language is a bit of an issue...so we pitch up in our best fench and with some pics...literally i saw any femininity disappear before my eyes. This Spainish guy butchered my hair, coloured it and now i look like a raving lunatic, my best mate says its more rock + roll but i was devastated as trying to feel feminine and get back some confidence, any confidence..then i had a parents evening and it was uncomfortable as people were like oh we are so sorry to hear your ex left you, but all i was thinking was bet they say and no wonder looking like that...we live in a very small village.... Even now i am starting to laugh at it...so thought it might give you all a laugh... Thanks for being there it is helping me sooo much right now from the raving lunatic with very short bleached hair heeelp |

This happened to me when I first separated, too! I lived in a new area and couldn't find someone to cut and color my hair without butchering it. I was trying to let it grow, trying to feel feminine-- all that, I see you nodding your head My hair just got shorter and shorter and shorter until I just hated it. This went on for 3 years; I couldn't find a hair stylist who wasn't scissor-happy. One side would be longer than the other, they'd cut it all off to even it, etc etc. It was ridiculous. Just a year ago, 4 years after moving here, I finally found someone who knows the meaning of the word "trim" my hair. Still, I'm going to 2 places, one for the color, one for the cut, as the place that cuts it has bad haircolor and the place with the great haircolor butchers my hair! With everything else going on, wouldn't it be nice to at least feel pretty? I am sorry-- it'll grow. Just stay outta the mirror for a while. I get my hair cut now at a place where most of the stylists have long hair. How they all look is kinda how you'll end up looking... I know that's true. I was a hairstylist years ago and there's a little bit of a tendency for clients to get the "look" of those working in the salon. |

LOL, oh we have all been there with the bad hair at sometime or another.I have gone from blond to brown at the moment, still get a shock when i see myself in the mirror. Not sure if it is making me look old or i am just old,lol Just tell people this is the wild side of you coming out and then just walk away, lol. Take care. Bluebird is right. Unusual silence from the ex is a dead giveaway that you're looking hot. Enjoy your new look!! |

Thanks you lot are great.....had to go for an interview, thats why i got the mad haircut in the 1st place. Was a little nervous as 1st interview in a while. So sort out the kids and fly to spain to stay with a mate as 8am brekfast meeting (argghh) managing to keep it together only to find no wash bag. In a foreign city 10pm with an 8am interview / meeting frind is a guy so he has no mascara, hair stuff as hes bald. So basically the crazy haircut is now topped off with no make up , managed to find a supermarket for tooth brush, deodrant etc.. However meeting was good and keeping fingers crossed but was totally exhausted and was quite strange being away even for 2 nights without the kids as did get a few wobbly moments. Everything is ticking along ok and then wham something will send my stomach into a lurch and i can feel those tears trying to break through.... Now back home shatterd but good to be back with the kids and found my wash bag in the back of the car..forgot as i left that i had changed as only had 1 good top to wear and wanted to show the ex that i was looking good however then had to change on the way to the airport so as to save my top for the interview. Had to stop offin the lay by and change, thus turfing out my washbag in the process...had to laugh..with me in the car behind a bush trying to change into a tee shirt.... i am a bit dipsy at the moment and my head does not seeem to remember much.....what have i got in store !!!!! j |
