Anybody out there raising grandkids solo? This situation presents all the trials (and thrills) of parenting, solo parenting, and a few unique twists; not the least of which is there apparently are very few of us. And I'm a guy, work full time and have a fairly "normal" life, I've already raised 4 of my own, mostly solo, so I'm no novice, but most of the input I get has to be adapted to the situation. It would be interesting, if not comforting, to swap stories with people in a similar situation. And she's four and a half, so she keeps me busy. |
