My oldest son and I were having a discussion over where the trash receptical should be kept outside. I told him to please remember to put it on the far side of the garage. He said that it was more difficult to get it over there, which it is. So, why can't he just put in on the side nearer our front door. I was frustrated with his tone, because it was more of an "I want my way" rather than a "I am curious". I felt a lecture on doing your best coming on, as well as an explanation on how offensive foul smells can be to guests coming for a visit, but I decided not to. Instead, I said, "Nate, do not keep questioning me. I am the boss, period!" My son resigned himself to the task of rolling the can to the far side of the garage, and I turned to walk in the house when my daughter (age 3) said..."Mom, you said Jesus was the boss!" lol She looked as if she had caught me in a huge lie. lol |

That's so cute. I tell Sar that God said that I had to be her boss because I'm the mom and that he said to that children should obey their parents. She asks God in her prayers if he could change that!Blessings, deb |
