So Lex was gone last week and during camp they had to tell others about mom/dad who ever. And they wrote a little thing about what mom or day is like, what they do, their hobbies etc. My favortie food is evidentally fish (since I eat that once a month and could live on chocolate if I thought I wouldn't gain weight!) Bt my favorite part, my hobbies, well guys i evidently love to cook, clean, wash clothes and wash dishes!!!! WHo is this child! I was soooo mad at her, I mean we ride bikes together, I volunteer for a agency that help abused deaf women, I love to design floorplans ( if I wasn't going for audiology I would go into archit.) I do Tae Kwondo, hike, so many things yet none of that made it on her list. No evidently I just love to clean! Thats ok her birthday is just around the corner, maybe she would like a new bottle of dish soap and I can share my hobby with her! |

OMG at least yours wasn’t as bad as mine; I read my daughters paper this morning and she’s talking about things she remembers and it goes like this:I remember hearing the loud music, people laughing, dancing, and drinking, the party doesn’t end until they all get drunk. I looked at her with my eyes wide open and said, honey, we never had a party with loud music and people getting drunk. She then says no mom; I’m talking about the neighbors. Great, just great I could only imagine what the teacher was thinking when she read that paper. I guess I should be expecting child services to pay me a visit. Say maybe you should write a term paper that tells about your daughter and add your own twist to it. Like her hobby is going to school leaving her room messy, see what she says about that? Seriously you should keep that paper and save it for when she is much older, I am sure you will both get a kick out of it.

Just read your daughters list about your hobbies, i then asked my lovely little angel! what she thought my hobbies were. So here goes with her answers. 1. moaning, 2 reading 3 moaning, 4 art, 5 moaning 6 cleaning, i have to say thankfully she said it with a smile on her face. Thank goodness she is going out with her father in a moment, his visit could not have come at a better time. lol. x |

I like the term paper idea unfortunatly I get to write about exciting things like, how various drugs affect the neurological system. Or how to effectivly test a 12 months old hearing. But I am seriously thinking it is time to share my haoobies with her, maybe a box of laundry soap or an iron of her very own! |

I love this!! Isn't it interesting how kids view us? When my daughter was 10 she had to write something about her parents. She wrote this list of attributes..."mommy is good cleaner, mommy is a good cook, mommy is very happy, mommy likes to busy all of time doing house stuff" I still have it and after reading your post I pulled it out and read it again. |
