I am having an issue that I can’t solve and was in hopes that someone in cyberspace might be able to help me? I have been paying Child Support for the last 7 years, I have not seen or known the whereabouts of my child as his mother has moved state to state but she was still collecting and cashing my support checks. I have just been notified from a child services in any state USA, which my child is in foster care do to his mothers neglect and abuse both physical and sexual. I have never given up the search for my child and as of Feb 2009 I made an inquirery with the child support enforcement unit where I have been paying my support and asked for verification on the whereabouts of my son. I received a call back 2 days later telling me her address and whereabouts were confirmed via telephone and that they were in and never left the state that I was paying child support in. Now my concern is first off my child but do I have a case in court against this state. If they would have made her (the mother) and my son come into the office or went to the address listed, could this have prevented any undo abuse to my child? ------------------ |
