My daughter is now 12 yrs old, I first opened the case when she was about 4 and I closed it before it went to court because I was afraid of her father so I made a deal with him. Once I closed it he still did not make payments for like two years and then began to pay $50 per month, thru the years he increased it. I finally grew strong and had the guts to re-open the case because he was paying child support at different times of the month so I wanted it to be court ordered and garnished from his wages. Problem is I re-opened my case with cs in January of 2007 and I come to find out that they filed in may of 2009! The only reason they finally decided to give me a court date was because I called them and told them, that if I was not working and on welfare if they would have worked faster on my case? I had already given them ss#, rental homes, employment and home he lived in. They said reason it was delayed was cuz the father was not cooperating and he had a lawyer. Now I went to court and asked for a continuance because I had no attorney and they are not even counting his rental income only his employment. Are they not supposed to count all income? If so, what am I supposed to do?
