OK i have no clue how this child support thing works and im hearing terrible stories of the state or whoever sending it when they feel like it . How does this work ? My ex is wanting to pay child support for our 3 kids , he is being the allaround good guy . I went to the DHS DCFS or whatever its called to recieve help and had to let them send his info to child support , which is fine and dandy but she made it out to seem like he is a deadbeat and they are gonna attack him with everything , on top of the fact the help they are giving me is worse than before . Is this how it is supposed to be ? when do they start taking it out of him and do they send it to me every month ? I am hearing terrible things about people not recieving it for 3 mos at a time and that is with father paying . I am terrified cuz at the moment i have no job , am taking GED classes , have no car or a license for that matter , no family , and im stuck in a state where i know not a single person other than 2 of his family members one is just a teen and the other is his mom who is wonderful but not in the way i really need it . So i am lost and having horrible thoughts flying through my head , about the kids , myself , the sitchuation etc.... Can anyone explain how this child support thing works? |
