this is been a real issue for me. My ex refuses to pay the very small amount of cs each month in a single check, at the start of the month, or at least, twice a month, so I can depend on it. What he insists on doing is doling out bit by bit the support, usually a little bit each week, and you never know WHEN it will arrive, sometimes he will give some on a Monday, and then I won't get the next amount until 10 days later, then 5 days later, etc. He does this so he can be in control, he doenst like the idea of being told "please pay at start of each month"...it makes it very difficult to meet her needs-since I am always hanging on wondering "will he pay today?" and often he waits til the last minute. He also will sometimes skip a week, and then just pick up the following week without including the last weeks missed payment, like he will pay 100 on a Monday, then instead of paying the next 100 following Monday, he will wait 10 days, and then there are missed payments if that makes sense. |
