Little Acorn Member	posted 12-27-2005 05:14 PM             Does anyone know whether child support can still be claimed if the mother is a British resident and the father returns to New Zealand? He has dual-nationality so to all intent and purpose is British. Will the British government still attempt to claim the support should he return to NZ after the birth or will they give in? Yours, worried little acorn
JAYJAY Member	posted 12-28-2005 02:55 AM          Hello, i am not sure about it, but i am sure if you phone the DHSS office near you they will let you know, Or you could phone the citizens advice bureau. I dont see why he should not have to pay something towards your child, it is still his. Good luck. -x-x-
