My life has been going through tremendous changes over the last year. I pray and sometimes I think God is ignoring me Suddenly, everything happens at once and I realize he has been there all along.
Money has been a big issue with me lately. I have been looking for a second job or a higher paying job. I found a part time job that won't take up too much time and I start next week. I also evaluated my finances and I am found a few ways to reduce my overhead. This week I was contacted by two separate job opportunities, both with more pay and I now have two interviews scheduled. I also explored the possibility of grants and tuition reimbursement to go back to school. If I can pay off my credit card by year end I will be able to start school part time in January.
Yesterday, a good friend came by the office and took me to lunch. In the middle of lunch she told me "I just wanted you to know what a good friend you have been to me over the years and how much I appreciate you." I almost cried.
Work has been busy and I have been helping with some extra projects. My boss stopped by my desk today and gave me a gift certificate and told me how much she appreciates all I am doing. (That is going to make it hard to leave!)
My social life is picking up. I actually have a schedule to go hiking with friends now and two of us have signed up for Latin dance lessons. I had two dates scheduled in one week! That hasn't happened for years.

The situation with my daughter is working out and my son is finally taking life seriously.
I guess that sometimes when we think God isn't listening, he is just working behind the scenes to get things moving in a better direction.

Cgrace, I am so happy things are going great in your life and yes God indeed answers prayers. As the old saying goes, "He May Not Come When We Want Him To, But He is Always Right On Time". It seems as if he is right on time for you. I am sure you deserve every happiness you are experiencing right now. I too, have been gone through a lot of financial crisis and troubles with my teenagers, but I know God is there with me and will make things better for me. I went to church this morning and the Pastor said something that made me think differently about my situation. We should not become so distress in our financial battles or any other trouble times because God really doesn't give us nothing we cannot handle and that we should thank him ahead for the blessings that are on the way. So please know Cgrace, the Lord is there for us and will never forsake us and I am glad you realized that he was not ignoring you. It may seem as if he is, because I felt the same experience, but deep down I know he is there for me, as he is there for you.

So Cgrace Enjoy yourself and life and keep on keeping on because there is light at the end of the tunnel. Good Luck!
