What Makes a DadGod took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,
He called it ... Dad

I will never, never underestimate the importance of "Dads" in a child's life. Sad thing is, the one thing I have a hard time with, is really understanding what my children go through not having their Dad consistantly in their lives. You see, I have a father that visits me each morning with a fresh cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee! Though I benefit greatly, I know he is motivated out of love for his grandchildren and I. He loves to spend time with us.
One thing I cannot be for my children, is a Father. I have never tried to fulfill that role. Hopefully, they have and will continue to have wonderful men in their lives and will one day be loving Dads to their children.
Many Blessings...Marilyn
