hey everyone, Jesus is coming so look busy. I tried to tell my son how easter means that gods son is returning but how does a person somehow tie this into a giant rabbit hiphopping down the bunny trail leaving chocolate eggs for us to eat. ANyone???? |

I can only tell you what I do with Sar. Yesterday we read about how Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Today we'll talk about how everyone was sad and tomorrow we'll talk about God bring Jesus back from the dead. I get her little gifts on Easter, but nothing major. I don't hype the Easter bunny thing, just let her talk about it if she feels the need. We go to church on Easter Sunday so she gets an extra dose of teaching about Gods gift to us. wow that's a tough one. Lex was always taught that the gifts she gets today are to celebrate what Jesus did for us. That by him dying on the cross we got to live and we got to live to see another beautiful spring and all the wonderful things that go with spring time like the bunny and the flowers. I taught her it was nice to have a basket filled with chocolate and candy but only if she remembered what today really meant. that it was a celecbration of our lives with christ. Afterall Easter was the day He rose not the day we put him on cross. Today is a day to clebrate him, and everything he did for us. |
