hey everyone. i was interested in seeing the passions of christ but i know i wont see it. I had watched a part of it and got too upset and thought really deeply about it. I was more upset because i thought i was ashamed to be a part of a race that would do that to another human being . Does that make me a puffball. I just can't believe i am from the same make and model that would allow that kind of behaviour to occur and why people would treat each other like this is unreal to me. it made me think that people can dehumanize someone and treat them like nothing. ANd i was ashamed. I was also ripped apart because i would never let anything happen to my own son before i was dead and buried. Over my dead body brings new meaning in my life becuase i would take a bullet or a bus for my son.

I cried hard throughout that movie. But, I saw that the people who did this to Christ were not allowing Him to be a part of them. Then, there were others in the movie who showed pity and compassion - you could see it so many people's eyes. I think that's just the way it is today - there are people who don't have Jesus who are mean and then there are those who do have Jesus and they show love and compassion. What a movie! I don't think I could watch it again but I'm glad I watched it the first time.

My younger brother is a Pastor and was privilaged to be invited, along with many other pastors/priests/clergy to view a premier with Mel in Chicago before the Passion opened. He truly created this film for all of the right reasons.

I saw the Passion on opening night. I'll never forget the atmoshere in the theatre and trust me, I do not live near the bible belt! You actually got to know those sitting besides you and there wasn't a soul that wasn't moved and untouched in some way. I couldn't watched some of the seens, so Pooka, if you need to close your eyes at points, do so. What I really appreciated in the movie was the depiction of the relationship of Jesus and Mary. No other "Jesus" movie has touched on what was probably the most beautiful parent/child relationship and a relationship that I have always imagined. Everyone should see this movie at least once.
Many Blessings Everyone and Happy Easter!
