I was going over my October calendar and for the first time realized that I have been spreading myself thin. I have anywhere from 2 to 3 events every night of the week including weekends. I do my grocery shopping, errands, some house cleaning during my lunch break in order to maintain an orderly home. I’ve even managed to overlap a few things such as helping my daughter with her school woke while at the field when my son has his soccer practices. Between, soccer, karate, volleyball, basketball, being on the board of advisors at the park and recreation center, PTSA member at my daughter school, coaching, house cleaning, cooking, laundry, mom, girlfriend, having to drive every other weekend for 2 ½ hours each way for the kids to spend time with there father, I find that I have no free time; Hard to imagine that I managed to finish two books this week.
I love all of these activities and can’t imagine quieting any of them. I think I deliberately keep myself busy just so I have some sort of validation for my existent, plus I really enjoy being a part of an organization that helps kids. I love helping people and donating my time. My kids love attending all there activities and are well balanced. Heck my daughter just signed up for 3 clubs at her school and my son just told me he wants to take piano lessons (I guess you can say they took after me).
My question is how many of you find you’re spreading yourself thin?
