Things r lookin up, i feel a lot more confident that i will graduate from college in december. Yesterday my school pyhscologist diagnosed me w/ adhd. The severity was marked severe. This is why i cant wait 2 get back to school & am very happy -These are the accomodations for my studies i will b getting: 1)Allowance 4 freuent breaks during lectures, 2) quiet environment & breaks 4 exams, & extened exam time, 3) Provisions 4 extensions 4 complex asignments, 4) tutoring or assistence w/ class stuff writing papers. It really suprises me to learn that there r progams out there to help me & people do want 2 see me succeed, not fail. I am mad at myself that i am just figuring this stuff out now, oh well better late than never! If any1 has any ?s i would b happy 2 answer them. |

Kahala - It’s great that the school psychologist was able to diagnose you. Don’t be mad at yourself this is something the school should have diagnosed long ago. I went my whole life suffering from dyslexia and ADHD without being diagnosed. Still today it affects me, but I have learned to deal with it and Check out this web site http://www.chadd.org/ Good luck! |

That is great! Are you on meds? I am on Concerta and it has changed my life! I can focus on the things I need to focus on, I was ALL over the place beofre! |
