I joined a mom’s basketball league and talk about a workout. That by far is the best workout I’ve ever had while having fun. It sure beats the gym, not to mention a lot cheaper. I started a new season with my girls’ basketball team so I get a double work out. Never knew coaching could be so fun and rewarding.

I used to play basketball and I am now an avid basketball fan. Tonight I watched the Pistons lose to the Spurs =(
You are right, it is fun but what a workout! Good for you!

Yeah I do have a tendency to over extend myself but at 41 I’ve never felt better. I like keeping busy and trying new things. I have made a list of things I want to do before I go on to the next word. Last year it was jumping off a cliff into the water in Maui, this year it will be soaring on a breathtaking 'zip-line' flight high above the jungle canopy, biking through the jungle, visit three cenotes and experience Mayan culture, in Tulum. Wow I can’t wait. I’ve finally learned to live and it feels good. It’s true what they say life doesn’t begin until you hit your 40’s.

Life for me in my 30’s was filled with struggles from beginning to end; I didn’t think I would ever be happy I was in a deep depression; but that all changed the day of my 40th birthday, with the death of my brother who was only 19. In those 19 years he managed to live his life to the fullest, each day was a gift and it showed in all that he did, he serves as a reminder to me that our life hear on earth is temporary and it is up to us to make the best of each day.

I also learned you’re never too old to try new things.

Bottom line, you need to get out there and have fun!

FallenAngel - With your username I would have thought you were already a skydiver. I say go for it, buddy jump with one of the instructors. They have it where you can be attached to him and he does all the work, you just enjoy the ride. As for how was the jump off the cliff, well, after 3 attempts up the cliff looking down at the water and thinking to myself that I was jumping to my death I finally got the courage and went for it. It was the most exhilarating feeling I have ever had, I felt so alive, and I was truly on a natural high. The best part is that my bf caught it on camera. Each time I look at that picture I can’t help but smile. I’m hoping for the same high on the zip line through the jungle, nothing like swinging from a cable from one end of the jungle to the other, can you imagine the view from up there?
