woohoo i signed up with the ymca, signed my son to the gym adventure program, and the swim lessons. so while he is in his lessons mommy works out. i am taking a yoga lesson once a week as well while he will stay at home with the sitter. mommy time. i made it a point to make some at least once a week. it is a sanity keeper. i have already lost a couple of pounds in two weeks, just from getting rid of thejunk food and candy. i cleared up the junk from the kitchen and left it out for the sitter to eat. she was probably thinking it was christmas early. and i have made cupcakes for my sons valentines day party and haven't touched one yet!!!! so far so good. i had fast food junk tonight but no fries, just side salad. I feel better already, and my jeans are feeling better as well. i was tired of feeling like a butterball, and the winter always does that doesn't it? anyway, take care and jsut changing a few things in everyday diets makes a huge difference. |

watch the movie super size it and that will cure you of any fast food cravings. my kids will never eat another fast food french fry again...lol...im not kidding.congrats on the poundage, i hope to join you someday..sigh... you also have to buy yourself something once in a while, it doenst have to be something big, a little smelly candle or a scarf or whatever floats your boat and brings on that happy feeling...another thing i forget, but its when you remember thats important an occasional manicure or haircut always chairs me right up |

It is a great feeling to see a difference in the way your clothes fit and just feel better in general, isn't it? It is addictive. LOL Yoga is awesome! I have taught a basic yoga class and loved it! Would love to do more. I also love doing pilates! |

I joined the YMCA on a Scholarship Program for Low Income Parents! I got in for HALF the Membership Fee and I only pay 24 dollars a MONTH for my 3 year old and myself. The childcare is GREAT. They watch her FREE for 2 hours. Anyone interested in the YMCA ( not sure if it applies to all Y Facilities nationwide) but you might want to check the program out if they offer it. During that time, I do Half an Hour on the Free Weights (I SWEAR BY THE SQUAT MACHINE!!!) and 1 hour and 10 minutes on the Stair Stepper or Eliptical. I joined in October and to date (December 27th) I have lost 15 lbs. Doesn't sound like much (since muscle weighs more than fat, but takes less space)my measurements have DRAMATICALLY CHANGED! I went from a size 14 pants size to a 10 so far. LOL.I know I won't EVER see a size 1 again (that was obviously before I had my girl and I became the Burger Queen!) but I am working to a nice healthy size 5 or 7. Just right for someone 5'7". This is 5 times a week after work and my girl gets to enjoy all kinds of activities and I am soon to be putting her into gymnastics and swim lessons, also dance lessons too. Most of these are "mommy and me" classes. It's worth it to make the time to do something for yourself and your little one by being active. It's clears your mind and really helps get the stress off your shoulders. |
