Hi. this is my very first post on this website. so hi everyone!
i have an issue with my husband. back in 2008 he started to work as a truck driver and asked his employer to let him work as much as possible over the road spending as little as possible time at home. at that time our son was 6 months. what his reasons were for asking that i don't know, and now they are irrelevant. my relationship with my husband ended February 2008. but i waited till March 16th of 2009 to file for divorce. i let him know what my intentions were 2 weeks before i got a lawyer. then a couple of weeks later he called me from a "restricted" number and told me that if i need to get a hold of him, i am to call his parents and he will call me back. another couple of weeks later he called me again saying "he got fired" after that i tried to get a hold of him because our son had an emergency situation, but he didn't ever call me back, but told his parents to tell me to "sent him an email and he will get back with me". it has been more than a month since i filed for divorce, he still haven't gotten served with it, meaning the divorce have not yet started. it will only start once he gets served, but i don't know where he's at, no physical address (he has to accept the papers personally) from what i understand, he's not even in TN. what can i do to get it started? what are my options? anyone had to deal with this?

Check with your lawyer. I had a similar situation but. There are cetain time frames within NJ, so that if a spouse runs from processes servers, the proceedings can continue. While we all would like our spouses to be compliant with all this crap, some of them are just so immature.....need I say more?

All times are CT
