my husband and i are going in a week before the judge for a temp hearing for child support which he hasnt paid since seperating and for temp custody which he just wants so he doesnt have to pay child support i want primary custody with him having them three days a week for 4 hours at a time and one day on the weekends every other week and hes been fine with this so far and hasnt even had them the times hes suppose to but now hes saying if he cant get primary then hes wanting joint and i couldnt handle that ive been with my children night and day not him im the one who dragged my torn body (c section) up to take care of our twin daughters and now our son i had back sugeray after my twins cause of the spinal block herinating my disk and it was me who pulled myself threw the house to take care of them i cant imagin them not spending every night with me a few hours a day i can stand but not a whole day and night and not weeks at a time my lawyers said since there young the judge would never do that but i dont know im just really confused and scared ill lose my babies what can i do ? |

Calm.... down.... take a deep breath.... repeat after me.... YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR BABIES!!! Relax hunny, You are experiencing anxiety and you need to talk yourself through all of this! Don't let your ex intimidate you by his words! You need to stay focused and strong! You will have primary custody with your ex having visitation rights, and he WILL be ordered to pay child support! Trust me! This will happen! |

thanks so much blondesinglemom its just there the world to me and to him their just a way to get out of child support im sure he loves them deep down cause sometimes he seems like the best dad but right now all he wants is money he doesnt want to pay for his children which makes me think that i dont even know him at all now our court date was march the 30 but has been switched to april 9th it made me so mad i was hoping that when he saw how the judge ruled he would straighten up and i have another question unless i heard my lawyer wrong after the tempt custody and child support hearing they still cant make him pay child support until the divorc is final is that true has anyone else heard about this ? |

No, that's not true! These kids need food and shelter, and how are you expected to pay for that without your ex's financial support which is part of his responsiblity?!? He will have to pay right after your court date and maybe even back child support, even if he doesnt want to! And I wouldn't expect him to ever wanting to pay you child support, my ex never did and he STILL feels like he shouldn't!! A bit of advice too is to have it automatically taken out of his paycheck, that way you wont have to worry about not getting it from him or even having to contact him about money! Your ex sounds very unreasonable. Time will make things easier for you! I went through hell for almost a year after my asshole husband moved out!! |
