Sorry, I put this on the relationships chat but it should be under parenting. Sorry for the double post. I'm a single mom and my 17 yr old son has his first serious girlfriend. He has lost his identity since he started dating her. He is with her constantly and even has lost interest in his sport (which he's state ranked in) and the season starts Monday. He's furious with me that he can't take her and pick her up from her sports practice because he has to go to his. I told him that is her family's concern. He doesn't spend time with his friends hardly either. I need to set guidelines and parameters because her parents obviously aren't. He takes her to school, takes her home, goes to lunch with her, studies with her.... I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of. Can someone help? Thanks so much! |
