Its always been my nature to freak out and worry months ahead of time of a potential problem. Next June I am going to take my daughter out of state to Orlando ( yeah Walt Disney World and blow alot of money) but its something my mom wants us to do for our children before she dies ( which will within the next 40 years)

Well anyway, my friend tells me I am not allow to take her out of state without permission from her father ( who has not seen her in three months and never calls, never takes his visits) Well, I spent all day freaking out about having to ask his permission. I got home and the papers read as follow:

Either parent cannot remove the chil from state without the Courts permission, except either party may if the time does not exceed 16 days and does not interfere with the others scheduled visitations and hildidays. So, I am hoping I am interpretering this right.

I think I can for 11 days we have planned as long as it does not interfere with his weekends. Right?

I don't think you need to worry about it. I would inform the other parent, but not necesarily ask, especially if he isn't much in the picture. Also, a missed visitation every once in a while is no big deal either, the court/police is not going to track you down to enforce a weekend visit. If a situation like that would arise, a trip interfering with a normal scheduled visitation, then offer a trade or an extra weekend before or after. This will show your reasonableness in case the non-custodial parent claims you are denying visitation.

Anyway, don't worry, be happy thinking about your great trip!
