Hello everyone.. I'm new here and looking for some friends to chat with. I have an 11 year old son and have been divorced for about 5 years. I work 2 jobs so I dont have much time for a social life but I really could use a friend. Pen pal, anything..lol..some conversation with adults would be great.. |

I am doing really well these days. My youngest is now 17 and a senior in high school. I became a full time single parent when she was only 9 months old. So I am definitely on the down hill as far as the day to day parenting is concerned. My older kids are in college and they continue to need me and solicit my help and that feels good. |

Wow.. that's scary..a little, isnt it? They grow so fast.. My son is 11 going on 25 lol.. I know time is flying.. so now that your kids are getting older, what do you do to occupy your time? |

I work out and am constantly making improvements to my house and yard. It keeps me busy. I tend to date in spurts, wanting to find love, but not real patient with the dating scene. you are a very attractive man so you shouldnt have a hard time finding someone..But, I hear what you are saying about the dating scene. I have no patience for it either so I rarely do it myself. Your yard is beautiful! I hope to have one of my own one day..lol.. I'm working on it |

Thanks for the compliments. I have been divorced for 16 years and have had a few relationships, and probably could have been married many times over. During the years when my kids were young I think a lot of what women found attractive in me was me being a full time dad. But I never wanted someone just for having someone, so I have kept my heart at a distance. I wish I could love but I am not sure if I know how. |

I understand how you feel... it isnt easy. You never forget how to love, you just save it for the right person. That's what makes it special and worthwhile. Otherwise it would be just another feeling. Just another word. |

I find dating so hard. I have my girls full time, and sometimes I think that men don't want me 'cause I have kids. I don't know where to meet anyone. I gave up on the dating websites, they seem to not be working for me. I had a profile on yahoo, took it down. I am not a beauty queen, but I am not "just average" either. UGH! |
