I have been dating someone for almost a year now and she has become quite involved in my life and my childrens life as well as mine with hers. We recently decided that it was not going to work out due to parenting differences. How do you tell you children that she will no longer be around? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It is really going to depend on the age of your kids. Against my better judgement, I did introduce the man I was dating to the kids (he was a friend of a friend and knew her kids so I thought it would be okay). when I decided it was not going to work out, I let him "fade" out of our lives. Basically, I lied to my kids for about 2 weeks telling them that I still talked/saw to him, but they were always with thier father. Then I began saying, no I have not seen him, we have both just been so busy that we have no time for eachother. And stuck with that story for awhile. They have since stopped asking about him, and I will be VERY VERY careful not to introduce them to someone again. My kids are only 6 and 5 so I can pull that off. If your kids are older, I may be upfront with them, but then be very careful about whom you bring into thier lives again.
