This might sound awful of me, but I learned Wednesday that the ex and his girlfriend got into a fight becuase he came with me to take the kids trick or treating. Anyway, I will spare you all the sorted details, but he is begining to realize that he made a mistake leaving me to go be with her, he even said he "should have thought beofore he got involved" and that feels real good, esp because I am in a good place in my life without him. Although the good person in me does not want him to be hurting over someone like her or have someone hurt him like that, I just want him to hurt over me. My friend a work told me about the 80/20 rule. and this fits. It comes from some movie she saw where you marry 80% of what you are looking for, when you have an affair, that person is usually 20% of what you are looking for, and it is not good to leave your 80 for a 20 - something like that. Anyway, like I said what goes around comes around - and I am just happy he is beginning to realize that I was his 80. But I cant forgive him for what he put me through this past year - so I guess he will have to settle for 20. |
